Taxi drivers worldwide are hit hard by the COVID-19 crisis. Not only do they lose their income; with the few customers they still have, drivers are at greater risk of contamination. Since the success of the Uber app and other ride share services, many of them work as self-employed professionals. The documentary shows intimate portraits of seven independent taxi drivers in New York, Amsterdam, Rio de Janeiro, Wuhan, Tehran, Kisumu and Tel Aviv. The drivers share their stories, their struggles and their abandoned cities. How are they affected by the pandemic?
