In this episode, we experience a touch of the Italian 'dolce vita', combined with Swiss thoroughness. This is how life in the Italian-speaking canton of Ticino in Switzerland is characterized. The first trip takes the funicular from the foot of Monte Bré to the village of Bré, on top of the mountain. The view over the city, lake and mountains immediately shows why the Swiss built this track more than a hundred years ago. The next ride starts at the top of San Salvatore mountain, which also has a beautiful view. Here the viewer is taken down in a funicular railway to see the city of Lugano from above. The Swiss Railways then takes us along the shores of Lake Lugano to Capolago. There we change to the cog railway of Monte Generoso, a mountain on the border of Italy.
