Rail Away is a series about remarkable railways around the world. With the train acting as a guide, we traverse by a number of special locations. Every episode starts with a portrait of the city where the train departs. During the journey, the landscape, history and local culture are highlighted. Shots from the drivers’ cabine, along the railway line and from a helicopter form an almost unending possibility of mixing various shots and camera-points of view. In the past years the Rail Away-crew visits almost 50 different countries to film an episode.
