A documentary about the Dutch SS, men that were considered as the prime example of collaborators during the Second World War.
In total, 25,000 Dutch men joined the Waffen SS, boosting Hitler’s army.

In this documentary six of these men have their say for the very first time. In a frank, shocking and confrontational manner, they speak about National Socialism, their decision to join the SS, their experiences on the frontline and the attraction of life as a soldier. Some of them still struggle with the choices they have made at that time, while others are still convinced of the righteousness of their racist and anti-Semitic views.

Soldiers in Black is nominated for a "Golden Kalf", Dutch equivalent of the Academy Award, at the Netherlands Film Festival in the category Best Short Documentary.
