With Love, from Russia

In this beautifully shot documentary we follow a Dutch couple and a Norwegian single woman who travel to St. Petersburg in Russia for an egg donation treatment. What is their motivation to undergo this emotional and physical demanding treatment in Russia? And what is the motivation of the women who donate their eggs? What are the risks involved?

The film shows how deeply the desire for a baby influences the lives of the Dutch couple and of the Norwegian woman. There are dilemma’s: what if the child wants to get to know it’s genetic parent later on in life? But also the lives of the donors and their families are influenced by the decision to be a donor. This delicate subject matter is filmed from different perspectives in an intimate manner.
