In the 1980s, thousands of children were adopted from countries
such as Sri Lanka, Indonesië, Bangladesh en Cambodja. Now, a
large number of adoptees discover that something is not quite right about their adoption story and identity papers. Zembla shows that adoption organizations have knowingly committed fraud to earn a lot of money. For example, some biological mothers turned out not
to be the real mothers and birth dates in passports were crossed
out and changed.
